Business Description
Lael joined Wenaha Gallery in September 2004 and assumed the responsibilities of custom framer in 2005. She works with all aspects of the gallery's operation- including design consultations, art sales, and client services. In November 2009, Lael passed a national exam and became a Certified Picture Framer (CPF). The testing and certification program is administered by the Professional Picture Framers Association (PPFA), a national organization that emphasizes the best framing practices for art galleries and frame shops around the country.
PPFA's certification exam tests areas of general, conservation and preservation framing knowledge, specialized mechanical and equipment operations, mathematical calculations and framing design and different methods of mounting artwork. Fewer than 165 picture framers attain certification worldwide each year."
