Located in Monterey, California, the studio specializes in all types of body piercings including lobes (for both children and adults), navels, oral, cartilage, surface, and genitals. They offer only the highest quality solid gold, platinum, implant grade titanium, and implant grade steel body jewelry. All jewelry for initial piercings is made from implant grade steel (F-138), implant grade titanium (F-136), niobium, 14k and 18k solid gold, platinum, or glass (lead-free borosilicate). All of their threaded jewelry is internally threaded or threadless, and all jewelry, single use needles, and tools are sterilized with autoclaves that are tested weekly (spore testing) by a third party.

Cody Vaughn has been professionally piercing since 2004 and founded Vaughn Body Arts after serving the Monterey area for nearly a decade. He has attended The Fakir Intensives (basic and advanced) and attends the annual Association of Professional Piercers conference to continue to further his education. Cody is a proud member in good standing with The Association of Professional Piercers since 2009. In addition to operating Vaughn Body Arts, Cody also works as an instructor for The Fakir Musafar Foundation (piercing workshop in San Francisco) and volunteers on several committees with The APP. He served as President for The Association of Professional Piercers and was a board member from 2014-2020.
