Business Description
A native of Maryland, Matthew Lauck is a professionally trained chef who has worked in many fine dining establishments in the Baltimore area, and also provided catering services for Hollywood movies filming in the Baltimore/Washington, DC area. While living in Taos, New Mexico, he was the breakfast chef for several years at the famous Mabel Dodge Luhan House bed and breakfast, and also chefed at the historic Taos Inn, the Bavarian Lodge, the landmark Stakeout Restaurant, and Joseph's Table.
Leigh Lauck was born and raised in Maine, where her ancestors were among the original settlers of Deer Isle and Orcutt Harbor. Her grandparents owned and operated Tim Pond Camps near Eustis, and later, Chairback Mountain Camps (now Gorman Chairback Lodge & Cabins), during her childhood. As an adolescent, Leigh spent summers helping out at the camps. Her grandparents' love and reverence for Maine's natural beauty and their commitment to guest service left an indelible impression.
