Business Description
The Tech Guru is a veteran-owned-and-operated company based in The Dalles Oregon. Our founder, Tom LaBone Sr. as a child had an intangible fascination with electronic items, and how they worked. He would remove electronic items from the trash, that most considered unsalvageable; Test them paying attention to the critical information to figure out what was wrong with them. Tom Sr. Moved into the PC realm while he was in high school which was his true passion. During high school Tom Sr. completed a work study with a special education school where he obtained his CompTia A+ Certification. During this work-study, he learned to adapt computers to people with both cognitive and physical disabilities. Tom Sr. Joined the Army as soon as he graduated from High-School, during his time in the Army Tom Sr. continued to help friends with their Computer issues.
