The Brandy Bar is a hidden gem located in Hendersonville, North Carolina that offers a unique and sophisticated experience to those seeking something special. The private club, located at 504 Seventh Avenue, is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 4:00 p.m. until 12:00 midnight.

Upon entering The Brandy Bar, guests are immediately transported to a bygone era, with the ambiance of the 100-year-old building reminiscent of a time when life moved at a slower pace. The owner of the building began renovating the structure in the fall of 2016 and finished in March 2018, with the aim of keeping it as original, both inside and outside, as when it was constructed in 1915.

The Brandy Bar offers over 43 types of brandies from around the world, each with its unique flavor and character that is sure to tantalize the taste buds of even the most discerning of guests. The bar also serves locally sourced bar snacks that include Hickory Nut Gap salamis, cheeses from Looking Glass and Blue Ridge Mtn. creameries, homemade potato chips, Van's Chocolates, and more. And now, they also serve wine.

The owner of The Brandy Bar had originally planned on placing a brandy distillery in the building with a tasting room. While developing a recipe for the pear and cherry brandy, the owner was faced with the many obstacles of whiskey production in an ABC controlled state. The process of distilling was also a very time-consuming and costly process. The owner contracted with The Carriage House Distillery in Lenoir, North Carolina, to develop and bottle the owner's own brandy.

The partnership would work together until the appropriate recipe could be perfected, and the necessary license and label approval was received from the TTB and the NC ABC Commission. This process continues to be pursued with the ultimate goal of having a finished brandy product by the end of 2018.
