Ashley has always had a passion for fashion and upon completing her Fashion Entrepreneurship course in college knew exactly where that passion would take her career. After graduating with a Fashion degree from Missouri State University in December 2006 she took off running to get her business open. Sophie opened in July 2007 as the first shoe boutique not just in Joplin, but in the four-state area! Since then, the store has undergone two expansions, started an online store, and gained a team of employees ready to outfit anyone who walks through our doors.

We've been known as "the candy store for shoe addicts" since we opened in 2007, and with good reason -- we carry more than 100 footwear styles every season. Over the years, our business has grown to include clothing and accessories, and we've expanded from a humble 900 square feet to a 3,000 square-foot store in historic downtown Joplin.
