Old Style Guitar Shop Giftly

Old Style Guitar Shop in Los Angeles, CA offers a focused and memorable experience for musicians who value craftsmanship, repair expertise, and instruments with character. Founded in early 2010 by Reuben Cox after his move from New York City, the shop was created with the idea of evoking the spirit of older American music stores that have gradually faded from view. That sense of intention still comes through in the way the business is presented: practical, creative, and quietly distinctive rather than flashy.

As a guitar store, Old Style Guitar Shop serves players who need more than a simple retail stop. The shop carries musical instruments, repairs, and accessories, including strings, amplifiers, effects pedals, parts, and other useful gear. It is the kind of place where someone can come in for a tune-up and leave with a better understanding of what their instrument needs. The business is also known for custom and shop-built guitars, adding another layer of appeal for buyers looking for something beyond the standard showroom selection.

Old Style Guitar Shop has built guitars for respected artists such as The National, Mike Viola, Money Mark, Sufjan Stevens, Chan Marshall, Noah Gersh, Eric Bachmann, and Neko Case, which speaks to the level of care behind the work. Even so, the atmosphere remains approachable. The shop has a thoughtful, independent feel that fits well with musicians, collectors, and casual players alike. For shoppers in Los Angeles who appreciate helpful guidance and well-chosen gear, Old Style Guitar Shop offers a personal experience that feels rooted in both music history and everyday practicality.
