Karina Beleno Carney founded Life Gate Holistic Living Center in September 2016. As an acupuncturist of 11 years, she knew the importance of balance and realized the need for a daily reminder to grow, dream big and blossom, while staying grounded in the realities of being a mother, wife, daughter, friend, and business owner. When presented with the opportunity to open a Holistic Living Center in a renovated farmhouse in Groton, Massachusetts, this reminder became even more important.

The Life Gate Holistic Living Center was born from the balance of roots and branches in the Tree of Life. How do we grow and blossom into our most healthy, authentic selves, while staying grounded and productive in the reality of living in today's society? By providing services and classes in their deeply integrated community of collaborative, holistic practitioners, teachers and coaches, Life Gate Holistic Living Center can be the gateway to a new you.

Karina Beleno Carney, the founder, has been a student of Traditional Chinese Medicine since 2001. The experience of watching her mother transform after both conventional and complementary medical treatment for cancer, helped to shift her focus from her pre-medical studies to holistic living, which led her (rather unexpectedly!) to acupuncture school. A graduate of the Groton School and Wellesley College, she received her Master's degree from the AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine and also studied at the Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Teaching Hospital in China. Karina is a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine of the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), a Fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (ABORM) and a Certified Practitioner in TuiNa by the American Organization for Bodywork Therapies of Asia (AOBTA).
