Business Description
C. Lisa Kauffman MD received her medical degree from Johns Hopkins University after obtaining degrees in biology and engineering from M.I.T. Following her Immunodermatology Fellowship at the National Institutes of Health, she completed a second fellowship in Dermatopathology at the University of Colorado. Dr. Kauffman is board certified in Dermatology and Dermatopathology. She became the Director of the University of Maryland’s Dermatopathology laboratory in 1993.
Prior to establishing her private practice, Dr. Kauffman was Chief of Dermatology for Georgetown University Hospital for ten years. She was responsible for management of the dermatology clinic and for starting a Dermatopathology service.
As a Georgetown University Professor and Dermatology Residency Program Director, she was responsible for medical student and resident teaching, as well as the development of an active research program in dermatology. She is fluent in French and speaks conversational German. She is a fellow
