Business Description
Born and raised in Athens, Georgia; 1967 B.B.A. from the University of Georgia; Restored Athens' Old Southern Depot known as "The Station" in 1971, and opened his first restaurant - the Valdosta Dining Car - as well as The Cabaret, and The Circus - Athens' first disco; married Bobbie Fargason in 1972 and had two sons, Ashley and Daniel. 1976 restored the Carrboro North Carolina Station and sold both restaurants; 1977 Lee Epting Catering officially began.
Pursuing an interest in historic preservation, Epting has moved and restored fourteen historic homes in the Athens area; 8 of these houses now "live" at Epting's property, "The Hill"; Produced with son, Ashley, the movie "Not Since You" in 2007 and opened Harry's Barbecue in 2009; 2013 reorganized with sons, Ashley and Daniel, as Epting Events.
