Business Description
Bill Swails founded EarthRoamer in 1999 as a business focused on adventure travel, writing, and photography. At that time Bill was driving a custom expedition camper he built in his driveway to explore, travel and camp in remote locations. In 2002 it became clear that people were more interested in Bill's custom camper than his photography and writing, so Bill designed the EarthRoamer XV-LT and started manufacturing Xpedition Vehicles. Bill has held every position at EarthRoamer, but his favorite "jobs" are designing vehicles and sharing adventures with EarthRoamer owners.
Bill received his BS in Systems Engineering from Ohio State University in 1985, and his MBA from UCLA in 1995. Bill has twenty six years of experience in engineering management, consulting, marketing, operations, design, writing and photography for a diverse group of companies including McDonnell Douglas (Aerospace), American Management Systems (Consulting), Qwest Communications (Telecom) and EarthRoamer (Xpedition
