After Gene's passing in 1999, Larry and Sheryl bought the property from Larry's mother, Charlotte, and began the conversion of the property into a resort. In 2001, the first three cabins were built, and the following years saw the addition of more cabins, including the Loon, a beautiful six-bedroom cabin, and the Big Timber, the resort's largest eight-bedroom cabin.
