Business Description

My husband and I retired 7 years ago and bought this historic home to operate as a vacation rental so that we could both work at preserving it and sharing it with others. We chose a vacation rental because it offers complete privacy to our guests. We provide a continental breakfast for the first day's breakfast so that guests can operate on their own time schedule. The house sits on an original 1/2 acre town lot at the north boundary of Sharpsburg. A pasture sits across the alley. Occasionally the cows in the pasture come up to the fence. We saw a calf being born one day. The house is one block off Main Street, so it is quiet, especially when compared to the heavy traffic through the main artery of town that goes from Hagerstown to Shepherdstown, WV. We have replaced the roof and added a state of the art central air system that has individual room controls. The house offers beds or sleep sofas in three sizes, queen, double, and twin. Dogs are welcome. No charge for children.
