Business Description
Julie is the owner and operator of Allserv Carpet Cleaning and More. Her husband Dan started the business then took a night job and turned the business over to Julie in 2002. This was the advice of a CPA who saw that Julie, being a dedicated housewife, had no income and was not setting aside anything in Social Security for retirement and suggested she take over the business. Dan had started working on the business in 2000 when the factory he worked at went through a series of changes, namely unionizing and then came the layoffs, callbacks and more layoffs. That is when Dan decided to start Allserv. Dan had been trained by a carpet cleaning company in Denver, Colorado, where he gained his experience which was initially a job to help him pay his college tuition with no intent of starting his own carpet cleaning company.
