Located in the charming town of Girdwood, Alaska, the Double Musky Inn is a Cajun/Creole restaurant that serves up classic New Orleans dishes with a twist of Alaska seafood. The restaurant is famous for its French Pepper Steak, but also offers a variety of other mouth-watering dishes such as crab stuffed halibut served with Creole burre blanc sauce, shrimp etouffee, and lobster kabobs. The restaurant's history is as unique as its menu. Originally built in 1962, the Double Musky Inn functioned as an after-ski bar for many years. Customers cooked their own steaks over a fire in the front dining room and ate their food on picnic tables while listening to the occasional polka band. It wasn't until Bob and Deanna Persons bought the Double Musky Inn in May of 1979 that the restaurant truly came into its own.

Recently, the Double Musky Inn was featured nationwide on Food Network's "Best Of" series with Jill Cordes, naming it one of their ten favorite restaurants in America.

The restaurant's executive chef, Justin Persons, was literally raised upstairs from the Double Musky Inn and spent his youth washing dishes, busing tables, and chopping vegetables at the fast-paced iconic restaurant. Justin's past was in the landmark restaurant's kitchen, and he decided his future would be too. When he came back to Girdwood after receiving a business degree from the University of Nevada, he brought with him an arsenal of new skills, an encyclopedic knowledge of wines, and a refreshingly humble attitude.
