Business Description
My passion to work with furniture began I received an opportunity to work in a custom furniture shop under 3 master craftsmen in Memphis, Tennessee. One of whom started his apprenticeship in Europe at the age of 14 in a windmill driven shop and had been working with wood for 50+ years when I met him. His son was my age and was the best finisher I have ever seen. The owner of the shop had credentials in conservation and worked in the local museums to help preserve the pieces. In this shop I learned how to correctly repair antiques to preserve value and how to custom build furniture and more!
Upon moving to the Sacramento, California area I worked under another master craftsman that taught me the art of touching up damaged finished surfaces.
I am pursuing my love of wood working by running my own business. I hope to help people preserve the timeless furniture pieces they have acquired, and to make damaged modern furniture pieces function and look better than new.
