Mark E. Colgan, Sensei

6th Degree Black Belt

Chief Instructor

Sensei Mark Colgan is a 6th degree Black Belt and holds Black Belt rank in multiple Martial Arts systems. He was educated as an engineer, but instead chose to work with children and adults on bettering their lives. Before committing himself to teaching full time, Sensei Colgan worked for many years as a successful and sought-after multi-unit restaurant manager.

He began his martial arts training 40 years ago, and has taught full-time for past 20 years. He was the Founder and Executive Director of a multi-state non-profit Martial Arts program, dedicated to saving advantaged and at-risk youth from the lures of gang activity and drug abuse.

His tournament record includes multiple State, Regional, National and World Championship Titles (See Sensei's Philosophy and Karate Resume for more details). In addition, Sensei has trained and produced over 60 National and World Karate Champions.
