The spa started out as a small 5-room boutique spa in 5 Points and has since expanded to a sprawling 15-room spa with 3 levels, 10 treatment rooms, 4 waiting lounges, and a retail boutique with a vast array of natural remedies.

Candice Courcy, the owner and business manager of Urban Sanctuary Spa, is a licensed massage therapist with a Reiki master degree and Chi Nei Tsang certification. Candice is passionate about providing massage services to clients and actively participates in the spa's community outreach events, providing massage to local school staff, medical staff, seniors, and non-profit fundraising event volunteers. Candice also taught Aromatherapy, Ayurvedic theory, meditation, and deep therapeutic massage techniques to massage students for 12 years prior to opening Urban Sanctuary.
