Established in spring of 2006 while the owner, Tricia Rivas, was renting a chair at Judy's Hair Co., Trixies Salon & Spa has since become a well-known name in the greater southside of Des Moines. Tricia's dreams of having her own Aveda salon became a reality in the summer of 2010 when she opened Trixies, making it the only Aveda Concept Salon on that side of town.

Tricia and her team of highly trained professionals are dedicated to providing exceptional service to their clients. They take pride in their work and strive to make every visit a memorable one. Trixies Salon & Spa has a warm and inviting atmosphere that will leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

Tricia is a native Des Moines' southsider and attended LaJames International College. She has completed many hours of Aveda training and is affiliated with the brand. Tricia has been a freelance makeup artist for MAC Cosmetics, Aveda, and has also been a makeup educator for Toni&Guy Cosmetics Art Team. She has fulfilled her lifelong dream of doing makeup at Mercedes New York Fashion Week. When Tricia isn't at Trixies Salon & Spa, she enjoys camping with her family and friends, shopping at her favorite local boutiques, and giving her time to her non-profit Dream Catchers Foundation Inc.
