Business Description
I was born and raised in Anchor Point. In 1968 my dad decided to build a gas station and auto shop so he purchased a piece of land in central Anchor Point and a steel building kit and built Thurmond's. I have fond memories of walking from the local school to the business and hanging out there with my parents. We were full-service and I would fill customers tanks with gas and wash their windshields with the use of a step ladder. I have fond memories of helping my dad while he was working on vehicles in the shop and being underneath the hoods and getting him his tools and reaching down into small places where his hands wouldn't fit when he would drop a bolt or something. I was proud of my parents and their business not having a clue that someday years later I would own it. I love our community and feel very blessed and grateful to own and operate our business here. Thank you to all who come and support us and make Thurmond's what it is today.
