The Mystic Closet was started by Tisha Mirah who has a love for travel, fashion, and a desire to help support and showcase the tribal ethnic handmade clothing from around the world, as well as local fashion designers trends from the USA. The store has a roots base mixed with a flash of fairy, elven charm, and the comfortable yoga wear had to be in the mix over time. Then came the desire to please everyone who walked into the store to be able to find something they would love to wear, so came the plus sizes and modest clothes, as well as the slinky sexy tropical mini skirts and festival gear for her Burner friends.

The store's founder Tisha Mirah began her love of fashion design by sewing the fashions that she wanted to wear but was not able to find at stores. She began getting specialty orders from her friends, made her own patterns, and taught herself how to sew. Inspired by patchwork corduroy designs that were popular on the Grateful Dead lots, she dove into complex pattern making from her start! She moved into Renaissance garb, then into fairy pixie elven gear, and from there moved more into daily wear mixed with hip culture flair!
