The history of The Fishin' Pig is an interesting one. It was founded by Matt Hurley, Nash Osborn, Jim Osborn, and Shorty Osborn. 25 years ago, while owning JR's Quick Corner, Shorty Osborn came up with the recipe for what is now known as Shorty's Famous Seafood and Chicken Breading. Meanwhile, in Memphis TN, Matt Hurley was cutting his teeth at BBQ contests and cook-offs. He then brought his Dry-rubbed Memphis style expertise to Farmville and founded Grady's BBQ in 2006. When Matt opened Mulligan's Sports Grill in Farmville in 2003, Nash and Jim were both bartenders there. A friendship developed and in October 2012, the two companies collided and Matt, Shorty, Nash, and Jim came up with the concept. Family is very important to The Fishin' Pig, and that's how they want you to feel when you dine with them.
The restaurant's ambience is casual, making it the perfect spot for a night out with friends or a family gathering. The menu offers a variety of dishes that are sure to satisfy everyone's taste buds, and the reviews speak for themselves. Customers rave about the perfectly fried fish combined with the tender barbecue, making it a must-try for anyone who visits the area.
Overall, The Fishin' Pig is a unique and tasty dining experience that should not be missed. Whether you're a BBQ lover, seafood enthusiast, or just looking for a delicious meal, The Fishin' Pig has something for everyone.
