Business Description
Studio Director, Ashley Barnes is a fun and inspiring mentor who motivates dance students and aspiring artists to achieve their best.
WECT described Ashley as a "Creative Force!" She is honored to receive the 2018 Arts in Wilmington Award for an Individual Artist of exceptional talent, whose contribution to the arts has helped guide and influence directions, trends and practices. Ashley was selected as recipient of the Lower Cape Fear "Women of Achievement Award," for the Arts in 2016.
A multimedia artist from Eastern NC, Ashley has over 20 years of experience teaching students of all ages. As Director of The Dance Element, some of her largest creative projects have involved unique adaptations of classic children's literature, and the choreography of a cast of dancers to perform in her incredible hand-made costumes.
Ashley's students are her greatest inspiration. She truly LOVES what she does and she hopes to never stop learning. growing, and dancing.
