With over 100 years of combined experience, Ron, Dave, and JJ provide high-quality service to repair all brands and levels of bicycles, from family bikes to top-end pro road and mountain bikes. They offer custom wheel building, hydraulic brake bleeding, and BG bicycle fitting, among many other services. The shop also has a large selection of clothing, Oakley and Rudy sunglasses, shoes, helmets, car-mounted racks, and most cycling accessories you can think of. They will go out of their way to search for hard-to-find items and satisfy the customer.

Temple City Bike Shop has a rich history, having started with just nine Schwinn bikes, a small assortment of parts, and about 10 dumpsters worth of junk. John Spielmann Sr., a bike enthusiast and hobbyist who restored old bikes, bought the existing shop and made his son JJ work on the weekends. The business quickly grew, and within a few months, they were fortunate enough to meet Ron Mckiernan and his sister Valerie, who both raced professionally for JMC Bicycles in those early years. Ron was offered a job and accepted, and he remains the current manager after all these years. Valerie worked at the shop for many years before becoming a manager with Chase Bank in Glendora.

While the shop's family and BMX origins are still evident today, they have expanded into middle to upper-end road, mountain, hybrid, comfort, and fixie bikes as well. Their selection of Specialized bicycles ranges from kids' bikes to pro-level bicycles, while Electra bicycles range from cruisers to townies, and they also carry Free Agent BMX bikes.
