Business Description
My name is Lin Old and I am the owner of Tailored Chef. I started at the bottom of the culinary industry. I started at 16 washing dishes at Lynnhaven Fish House in Virginia Beach. To prove to my family that I was serious about the industry, I earned scholarships to Johnson & Wales my senior year at Cox High school. I graduated with my Associates in Culinary Arts in 2000 and my Bachelors in FoodService Management in 2002 from Johnson & Wales Charleston South Carolina Campus. I have been a part of 9 different restaurant openings and trained under great chefs like Bob Wagoner of Charleston Grill, Casey Gloacki of 5 Loaves Cafe, to Sydney Meers of Stove & Fish Pig Cafe. The year I was with Sydney We won the title of the number #1 Restaurant in Hampton Roads.
In 2009 I decided to change gears and began as a Culinary Instructor at the Art Institute of Virginia Beach for 11 years later and love it. Now, I focus on my clients that I have via Tailored Chef LLC since 2005.
