Trained by a local Sisterlocks Master Trainer and Consultant Trainee Assistant in 2011. Fell into doing Sisterlocks after 30 plus years of straightening my hair, chemically, and needing to find healthier alternatives to maintaining my own hair. Belief in natural hair care comes from my parents' consistent message during childhood that African-textured hair is beautiful in its own right; that changing one's hair to meet someone else's standard of beauty isn't about self-love; and that appreciating and embracing one's beauty is the only standard that counts. It's an honor for me to show other women how beautiful their own hair actually is, and how using their hair's natural attributes makes it so!
