Business Description
Early in his career, he served as City Attorney for Boulder, Colorado. For several years, he was General Counsel of Affiliated Bankshares, a former large bank holding company in Colorado. For the past 21 years, he has enjoyed private practice in old town Louisville, CO, serving the entire North Denver Metropolitan area. Mr. Barnett is a distinguished graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, and he holds masters degrees in Nuclear Engineering and Business Finance, as well as a JD from the University of Colorado School of Law. He is an active member of the Louisville and Lafayette Chambers of Commerce and chairperson of the Boulder County Bar Association's Availability of Legal Services Committee, helping to meet the needs of disadvantaged persons. He has served on the boards of banks, insurance companies, real estate companies, and several non-profit organizations.
