Business Description

Seth and Melanie Birky are 5th degree black belts in the American Taekwondo Association, and have a combined total experience of over 40 years in the martial arts. With educational backgrounds and degrees in child psychology, elementary education, and business, the Birkys aim to make STAR Martial Arts a school- not just a gym. The Birkys have trained students to over 20 World Championship titles, as well as hundreds of State & District Championships. STAR's programs have been supported by both the Concord and Elkhart Elementary School systems since 2006 as effective in redirecting kids' energies into focus, respect, self-control, and confidence. STAR Martial Arts currently has two locations, with its flagship location in Elkhart.
