The Old Alcohol Plant building, constructed in 1910, was initially an alcohol plant that closed its doors in 1913 and remained silent for 65 years.

After investing over $4 million and nine years of hard work, Ray Hansen and his wife Jeanne created a hotel and resort called the Inn at Port Hadlock. Later, the property went through several changes in ownership, and the government officials closed the doors on the Inn at Port Hadlock in 2011 due to taxes owed.

Fortunately, a small group of local philanthropists saw the potential in the property and purchased and renovated it, reopening the hotel in 2016 with a new-old name. The sturdy hotel walls now provide lodging for community members in need, create jobs, and enhance the economy.
