Business Description

I grew up in West Palm Beach and after graduating high school, I moved to Nantucket, Mass. and in my 2nd year there, bought a sailboat rental concession, spent 4 summers doing that and in the winter time, would travel across the country. After the 4th summer and tired of a seasonal business, I moved back to W.P.B., partnered with my brother and bought a wood shop, making waterbeds and selling them wholesale. After doing that for 6 years, the waterbed craze came to an end and so did my business. By chance I met a guy who owned a custom cabinet shop and was looking for someone to deliver his products. I had a truck and no job so with his business and contacts, started Smooth Movers. Also, in my years between self-employment, I worked for others and realized that most companies don't offer good customer service. In fact, I dare say it's hard to find real customer service anymore so I decided that that would be the platform of my businesses. A simple but successful concept that works.
