Business Description
My passion for dog grooming was sparked when I just 14 years old and volunteering at a family friend's shop. By the time I was 17, I knew that this was what I was supposed to do. I have been a professional groomer for 13 years. After working in other people's shops for most of my career, I opened ShamPooches in 2015 with the support of my family and so many members of the amazing Alton community. I along with my husband, two daughters, and our beagle Jessie Ann are happy to call Alton home.
I love being able to help dogs feel better after a day of pampering. But my absolute favorite thing about my job is the bond that I build with each and every one of my clients. I love them as if they were my own! Going to work and being greeted by wet noses and wagging tails has helped me cope with some really tough losses. I always say it's impossible to have a bad day when your job is as cute as mine.
