A graduate gemologist, Lopez earned his accreditation at the GIA in Manhattan, where he also worked in the 47th Street Diamond District. His passion for gemstones and travel took him to Florence, Italy, where he studied the art of jewelry design at the Italian Jewelry Academy, Le Arti Orafe. During his studies there, he had the opportunity to work with artisans from the famous Ponte Vecchio Bridge. From Bali to Nepal, Jaipur to Hong Kong, Carlos has experienced and witnessed firsthand the stories and origins of precious gems and jewelry making from around the globe.
