Business Description

Grew up in Los Angeles with my 2 sisters in a town named Silverlake and ended up in the Class of '79 at Hollywood High. Eventually moved to Santa Barbara in the early 80's to work for a fire sprinkler company located in Carpinteria through a friend. After 3 and a half years of submittals, stocklisting, shop, field, engineering and supervising, I went to work for a company in Ventura to follow my interest in fire sprinkler design and engineering. 2 years later I found myself starting Roy Lee Design (RLD) and providing services throughout Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties. Married with 2 children and one in the way, we moved to Santa Paula to cut down on my commute for a new position I had taken as Chief Engineer for a Sprinkler start-up in Fillmore with my original boss from Carpinteria while still maintaining RLD. After 6 months my employment wanted to contract my entire attention which I was not willing to do so we parted ways. Thus began RLD Fire Protection Inc.
