(R.C.) took over his father's business and switched to growing flowers in 1960. R.C., his wife, Stella, and their family operated a small retail on River Street from 1978 until his retirement in 1991.

R.C.'s eldest grandson, Rick, started his own greenhouse venture in 1985 and acquired his grandfather's greenhouses and retail in 1991. There are 10 acres of greenhouse growing space which are bursting with color during the peak spring season.
