The concept of Ohanalulu was born out of owner Nate Haugh's love for all things sweet and his family's love for the beautiful Hawaiian Islands. The name Ohana means "family" in Hawaiian, and the Haugh family hopes to share the essence and spirit of Ohana with the central Indiana community through a unique and family-friendly experience.

Nate and his wife, Katy, both grew up in northern Indiana and attended Wawasee High School. Nate graduated from Purdue in 1999 with a degree in hospitality management and has been in the food service industry for the past twenty years. Faith and family are the two most important aspects of Nate's life with donuts being a close third. The Haugh family attends Northview Church's Anderson campus and are active in their community. Nate and Katy have three children and live in the Pendleton area.
