Business Description
I grew up in the Catskill Mtns. and love the Margaretville area. I spent many years creating handmade items for family and friends. Three years ago I finally opened my business, Mountain Yarns, where I could inspire others to create and give a helping hand. I spend my days demonstrating weaving, spinning, knitting, rug hooking etc.. I give classes and teach all of what I do. As a dyer I can play with color and offer a quality of yarns that is hard to find. As a spinner there is so much satisfaction in creating one of a kind yarns that can then be made into something special. Weaving gives me the ability to play with color and texture. I truly believe I am a lucky person to be able to go to work everyday and love what I do. Creating and inspiring others....It doesn't get much better than that.
