Business Description

Dr. Amy Kimes was born in Fayetteville and grew up in western North Carolina, and completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at UNC School of Dentistry in 2002.

After completing her dental degree, Dr. Kimes began her service in the US Navy at Camp Lejeune. Dr. Kimes joined the 22D Marine Expeditionary Unit to provide care for 2,200 Sailors and Marines. Dr. Kimes was deployed aboard the USS Shreveport and was stationed at Kandahar Air Base in Afghanistan with the 22D MEU. After returning from deployment, Dr. Kimes was reassigned to the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. There she provided dental care for military officers pursuing advanced degrees.

In May of 2008, Dr. Kimes purchased Mount Olive Family Dentistry from Dr. J. Ray Mooring, Jr.
