Rick Smith is a writer and radio host who has been serving Texas boaters for most of his life. He grew up on Lake Belton managing his father's boat rental fleet and marina while in junior high and high school. Rick has received numerous awards for his contributions to the Boating Industry. His passion is boating and striving to help his customers make their boating dreams come true. Rick is a Past President of the Marina Association of Texas and the Boating Trades Association of Texas. He is a member of Marine Retailer Association of America and is currently President of the Central Texas Marine Association and ex officio director for the TuffMan Bass Trail. He has served as a director for the Fishing for Freedom Foundation, a non-profit military appreciation bass tournament. He is a director for the Central Texas Children's Center, a not-for-profit day care for children with special needs. He has been a Lion for over 35 years, believing it is far better to serve than to be served.
