Business Description

Dr. John grew up with his brother, Ted, in the Birmingham area. He graduated summa cum laude from Birmingham-Southern College with a degree in computer science before receiving a D.M. D. with honors from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry.

In 2005, Dr. John moved to the McCalla area, and started McCalla Dental with his brother, Ted. Their vision was to create a dental practice that would benefit the community and the patients.

In 2008, Dr. Holt Gray, a prosthodontist, joined as a partner. This allowed the office to increase restorative options offered to patients and a more comprehensive approach to care in one location.

As McCalla Dental continued to meet demand, Dr. Jake Nolen became a partner in 2014. His surgical training is extremely valuable to our team and was a natural compliment to Dr. John's vision for a complete office.

Currently, Dr. John serves as McCalla Dental's administrator that handles many businesses responsibilities as well as patient care.
