Cate and Jeff are the owners/instructors/guides of Liquid Fusion Kayaking. Jeff is certified by the American Canoe Association(ACA) in Advanced Whitewater Kayaking and the British Canoe Union (BCU) as a Level 3 Sea Coach and holds a 4 Star award in both surf kayaking and sea kayaking. Jeff is also certified in Wilderness First Aid, Swiftwater Rescue, and is a former member of the San Diego Mountain Rescue Team and the U.S. Marine Corps. Cate is a high energy person who loves sharing her passion for learning and the outdoors with others. Cate has assorted teaching credentials and a masters degree in education. After 13 years in the public school system, Cate decided that she wanted her classroom to be on the water. Cate is an ACA Level 4 Whitewater and Coastal Kayak Instructor, certified in both swiftwater rescue and in wilderness first aid. When not on or in the water, Cate is likely to be mountain biking or running in the redwoods.
