Legends Comix and Games is the brainchild of two brothers, Jason and Matt, who opened the business together in Oct of 2003 in the Maynard Mall. Since then, the shop has moved twice due to the mall being sold to CVS and disagreements between the manager and the landlord at the second location. In 2008, the business became a sole-proprietorship when one of the brothers left to join the army and later went on to medical school. The other brother, known as Motor, ran the company 7 days a week, 365 days a year until he left to go back to teaching in July of 2011. He returned in May of 2014 and has been running the business ever since.

At 51, Motor is a graphic designer and art teacher with multiple degrees from various colleges and a wealth of business experience that ranges from entrepreneur, marketing manager, art teacher, martial arts instructor, cartoonist, paralegal, and more. His passion for comics and all things nerdy is evident in the warm and welcoming atmosphere of Legends Comix and Games.
