Business Description
Soke Michael Kinney, founder of Kinney Karate, had over 50 Years experience in the Martial Arts. He was recognized as one of the pioneer competitors, coaches and instructors that emerged during the early introduction of Martial Arts on the east coast. In the late 60's, he was was influential in opening the doors for women and children to practice the martial arts, and for extending instruction that reached into suburban community and recreation centers.
Inducted into the Taekwondo Hall of Fame, International Black Belt Hall of Fame, Martial Arts Legends Hall of Fame, Professional Karate Magazine's Martial Arts Elite, Who's, Who in the Martial Arts. Shinja Martial Arts University Hall of Honors, and many others.
He has also received the National Volunteer Service Award presented by President Barrack Obama. Today, Kinney Karate continues on under the guidance of Grand Master Susan Serota and Master Seth Koehler.
