Business Description
Marita is an author, educator, producer and publisher with more than 50 years experience in the fields of yoga, meditation and kinesiology. She established Yoga 4 Kids in 1995 to bring this ancient art to children.
A pioneer for the school yoga and mindfulness movement, she designed and instituted Yoga in School for the academic teacher. She presented Yoga 4 Kids to Summer Camps at Rice University and Lone Star College. She facilitates the Yoga 4 Kids program at Texas Children's Hospital & conducts workshops for therapists on & off site. Marita created the fun, healthy, interactive board game Yoga 4 Kids, produced the Yoga 4 Kids DVD & has written The Adventures of Yoga 4 Kids, the first in a series of interactive, therapeutic yoga books for children. She designed & instituted the yoga curriculum at Lone Star College and manages the teacher training certification program at the 200-800 hour levels. She is certified by the International Assoc. of Yoga Therapists (C-IAYT)
