Aloha, I'm Dr. Melisa Hicks, the owner of Kapaau Veterinary Center. I was born in Denver, Colorado. I received my Bachelors degree and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado Sate University in Fort Collins, Colorado.
I am K-Laser certified for laser therapy on pets.
My special interests are internal medicine, surgery, and geriatrics.
I treat dogs, cats, and pocket pets like rabbits and Guinea pigs.
I lived in Long Beach, California with my husband for over 20 years. I co-owned a successful three-doctor veterinary hospital in Long Beach, California.
I live in Kohala with my husband, Mark, our two dogs, Kona and Koa, and our cat, Maui.
My hobbies include ceramics, gold, snorkeling, and scuba diving.
