Business Description
Our founder, John Rogers, earned a degree Agricultural Education from Illinois State University. He taught high school Ag Ed and Shop Classes for four years. During this time, he earned a Master's degree in Agricultural Education from the University of Illinois. Much of the MS degree course work focused on plant science.
After teaching for four years, he felt called to change careers. After accepting a position with a large landscape firm in Peoria, IL, he quickly advanced to assistant manager of their landscape maintenance division. He was responsible for managing over $750,000 of landscape maintenance projects. These varied in size from small yards to large shopping centers and medical campuses.
While working for this large company, he began his business in the evenings. In 2007, this part-time venture became full-time.
What began as a truck and wheel barrel operation, has grown to 5 full time positions plus 1-2 seasonal positions.
