Business Description
Heather is a doula, student midwife, midwife's assistant, and mother of 5. After many years studying birth and being involved in the birth community (both locally and online), she trained as a birth doula in 2012. At the same time, Heather began pursuing her calling to midwifery, entering into apprenticeship with a local midwife. Recognizing the need for every family to have support with a new baby, Heather began offering postpartum doula services in 2014 (currently only available to birth clients). In 2015, she began her didactic education as a student midwife. Heather founded and led the Houston Birth Alternatives: Be Informed, Encouraged, Supported birth support group, which met monthly from 2011-2014. Heather currently offers parenting classes, both group and private, covering a range of topics from an attachment parenting perspective. She is passionate about empowering women and families with knowledge.
