Business Description
Hi, my name is Jeff Schecter, better known as "Shecky" in the theatre community. I have been a professional actor and performer for 25 years. I just completed a successful year and half run with the Broadway revival of "Fiddler on the Roof." Prior to joining Fiddler on the Roof I created I CAN DO THAT NYC. It was inspired by my then 3 1/2 year old daughter Helena. I just found the Dance and Theatre classes in our community to be lacking. With my wife, Melissa (also a Broadway vet and Ballerina for 20 plus years) we workshopped a Dance/Theatre Combo class for kids ages 3.5 - 5. It was a huge success and we knew we had something. With more than 2 years under our belt now ICDT has expanded to include kids from 3.5 - 12, teens and young adults. We also offer Broadway Workshops led by me and other Broadway veterans in the summer. It is our goal to bring the joy and magic of theatre and dance to anyone and everyone that wants to learn or just play. See you soon! "Shecky!"
