Located in Nelsonville, Ohio, Hyde House Bed and Breakfast is a National Register Victorian house that has been beautifully restored and converted into a charming bed and breakfast. This historic house was built in 1882 and was the home of Dr. Jerry Morris Hyde and his family for almost 90 years. The house was originally built by Dr. I. P. Primrose for his daughter Sarah and her new husband, and was sold to Dr. Hyde in 1890. The two doctors were friends, neighbors, and partners in several Nelsonville real estate ventures.

After the last Hyde descendant passed away in 1977, the house became a succession of homes, rentals, and student housing until it was rescued and restored as a bed and breakfast by Michael and Sheila Mark in 2006. Long-time bed and breakfast entrepreneur and history lover Sue Maxwell became the owner in 2009 and carried on the B&B tradition until 2016. Sue also owns the Primrose Bed & Breakfast across the street.
