Ho'omana has NO ED (Executive Director) but instead TWO Co-Directors! Anela Pa & Rowena Pangan who have been behind Ho'omana since it's inception in October 2003, Both are mothers (and now Grandmothers) of Special Needs Children, who feel everyone is teachable. Frustrated by the bureaucracy and limited services from the Dept. of Education, these two women opened a thrift store to serve as a training site for those with Special Needs, to learn real life and job transferable skills in hopes these participants will be more independent once transitioning out of high school into the community,
Ho'omana Thrift Store is a non profit 501(C)3 used as a training center for those with "special needs" and those wishing to gain life and job transferable skills.l
