The idea of Grilled Cheese Mania was born on March 17, 2012. After much praying, thinking, talking, research, study, experimenting, cooking, tasting, sampling, and more cooking, the restaurant opened its windows of the food trailer on October 15, 2012, at 1321 South High Street in Harrisonburg, VA. Five years later, the restaurant moved from the food truck into a sweet little house that was converted into The Grilled Cheese House at 1476 South Main Street, Harrisonburg, VA. The restaurant could not be a reality without the help and guidance of family, friends, SBDC, and its amazing customers.

The simple comfort foods at Grilled Cheese Mania are all named after the family and friends of the owner, Kathleen. The restaurant is so very dear to her, and she enjoys everyday cooking and serving the customers. Kathleen is so very blessed and grateful that the community and travelers have embraced Grilled Cheese Mania as they have. The past five years of this journey have been incredible and more than she ever expected! Customer service, consistency, and affordability are all priorities to her, and she looks forward to many more years at Grilled Cheese Mania making each and every customer satisfied with its simple comfort foods and a fun experience.
